How to Remove a Snowboard Bindings Rack

Snowboard bindings are used to secure snow boots to a snowboard. The bindings form a locking rack that the boots slide into. When a snowboarder is ready to ride, he simply fastens the bindings over the boots and he’s ready to go. At the end of the snowboarding season, you may want to remove your bindings for annual maintenance. To do this, all you need is a screwdriver and a few minutes.

Inspect the snowboard bindings. Look for the mounting screws that secure the rack to the snowboard. Your bindings may be mounted to your snowboard in a variety of patterns, such as 2 by 4, 4 by 4, 3D and channel. Knowing which mounting pattern your board uses will help you find all of the mounting screws.

Unscrew each mounting screw from the bindings rack once you have located them all. Set the mounting screws aside in a safe place as you remove them. You will need these to secure new bindings to your board.

Pull the bindings rack firmly from your snowboard once you have removed all of the screws. If the bindings appear stuck, stop pulling. Check to make sure you have removed all of the mounting screws.
