Instructions

    • 1

Approach the rail that you are going to attempt to grail on, riding about 2 feet away.

    • 2

Perform a backside board slide by lifting your front foot off on the ground while simultaneously jumping up into the air with your back foot. Land on the rail in the middle of your board and attempt to keep your balance all the way through the rail.

    • 3

Perform a front side board slide by approaching the rail the same as in Step 1. Lift your front foot off of the ground, only this time when you jump with your back foot, rotate your body 90 degrees. You will catch the rail in the middle of your board, so that you will be sliding backwards down the rail.

    • 4

Perform a nose slide by again approaching the rail so that you are 2 feet away. Become airborne in the same manner as in Step 2, only this time only land on the rail with the front tip of the board. Attempt to keep your balance down the rail while only the nose of the board is attached.

    • 5

Perform a tail slide by approaching the rail and jumping into the air with the same rotation as in Step 3. In place of landing in the middle of the board, catch only the back tip (tail) of the board and slide down the rail.
