How to Measure the Width of Snowboard Bindings

Mounting bindings on a snowboard is something that is not very difficult to do and gives experienced riders a chance to experiment with different stances. The most important aspect of mounting binds is measuring your stance, or the width between the two bindings.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the distance from the floor to your knee. The distance between the two bindings should be at least this wide.

    • 2

Place your bindings on the board and sit down between them. If you don't fit, the distance is too narrow.

    • 3

Once you have figured out a good stance width, measure from the center of each base plate while set at 0 degrees.

    • 4

Line up the bindings with the screwholes on your snowboard and start putting in the screws.

    • 5

Angle the bindings to your preferred stance and finish putting in the screws.
