Double Dunk Trampoline Activities

Trampoline double dunking is a scenario in which a trampoline is set up in front of a basketball hoop. Then a basketball player jumps on the trampoline while holding one basketball in each hand. While jumping on the trampoline, the player then dunks both basketballs in the basketball hoop. Such a practice could serve multiple purposes to both basketball players and fans. Players can use the exercise to increase their skills and eye-hand coordination. Fans can use it for recreation or for gaining a skill that can be shown off.
  1. Learning to Dunk a Basketball

    • Trampolines can aid basketball players to learn to dunk basketballs accurately. In order to help a basketball player with his hand-eye coordination and his jumping skills, set up a trampoline underneath a basket; it can be a regular-size basket or a shorter basket for practice. If the basketball player is particularly short, you can add some kind of launching pad on top of the trampoline to help. Then give the player two balls and tell him to use the trampoline's elasticity to jump up and dunk both basketballs into the basket at the same time. You can also ask the player to dunk the balls one after the other.

    Double Dunk Video Games

    • There are video games in which potential basketball players, or just fans of basketball, can use a trampoline to dunk basketballs. Sometimes there are settings for double dunking basketballs in these games. Coaches can use such games as aids to their players to improve their coordination skills and their judging of distances. Friends or family members who enjoy basketball can also use these games simply for fun. Such games might be especially timely during March Madness season.

    YouTube

    • Basketball aficionados can set up trampolines and basketball hoops in a driveway or garage and practice double dunking basketballs with a trampoline. If anyone gets particularly talented at trampoline double dunking, he or she can record these exploits with a webcam or a basic video camera and then upload the videos to YouTube. In order to attempt to gain YouTube fame, someone might consider trying to dunk the basketballs with some unusual body part.

    Gymnastics and Double Dunking

    • Basketball players and fans could also use the trampoline to improve their gymnastics skills alongside their basketball skills. Gymnastics such as back flips or handsprings are made much easier if done on a trampoline, and they given people a softer surface to land on. A basketball player might try learning to do a forward flip before double dunking basketballs; that would be an impressive skill to show off during the next basketball game.
