1
Travel across the water with enough speed to keep you upright on your kite board.
-
2
Angle your kite so that it not directly above you but about 30 degrees lower and in front of you.
-
3
Angle your board so that the flat edge faces toward the kite. You should feel resistance to the kite's pull against the water.
-
4
Pull back on the kite's control bar to make the kite angles back toward you--arcing over your head.
-
5
Lean back on your board as the kite goes over your head to create more resistance against the water in the direction you are moving.
-
6
Lift your the board off the water with your feet when you feel the lift from the kite going over your head and move in the opposite direction.
-
7
Steer the kite so that it goes forward again when you reach the top of your arc in the air and level your board so that you land square on the water when you come back down.
