How to Do a Compact Jump
Most people, when learning to swim, start with basic skills and moves that focus on safety and comfort in an unfamiliar environment. The compact jump is the method taught in many swimming classes for entering the water from a great height. While not as fancy or impressive looking as a swan dive or a cannonball, the compact jump offers people a safe and stable entry method. The jumper enters the water upright and braced for impact.
