The 1997 Sea-Doo GSX has a 130-horsepower, 1000 Series Rotax marine powerplant. The two-stroke, twin cylinder engine has a displacement of 782 cc, a bore and stroke of 3.22 by 2.91 inches and a compression ratio of 6.0-to-1. It uses two Mikuni BN 40-38 carburetors and a variable rate oil injection system.
