How to Register Your Team's Roller Derby Names

In modern roller derby, all derby names -- from Iron Maiven to Babe Ruthless -- must be registered with a master roster. Names are submitted to the sport's master roster, called Two Evils, so their authenticity can be verified. No two rollergirls or referees can have the same name. To expedite the process, names are submitted by one representative from each team. It can take months for the names to be officially approved, because of the growing worldwide popularity of the sport.

Instructions

    • 1

Ask all team members to check their prospective derby names against the Two Evils master roster, to make sure that all the names are unique.

    • 2

Collect the derby names and numbers of all of your team's skaters, and place them into an organized word-processing document, text or PDF file. Names should be in alphabetical order.

    • 3

Denote any changes next to each submitted name if you are adding, changing or removing skaters from your team's roster.

    • 4

Send the file as an attachment to masterroster@gmail.com. The subject of the email should be the full name of your roller derby league; do not use an abbreviation.

    • 5

Archive the email you send, for future reference.

    • 6

Wait for a follow-up email to ensure that all the names were approved. Again, this process can take months, so be patient.
