      Decide what brand of shoe you want to wear. Make a complete list of skate shoe manufacturers. Vans is one of the favorite brands amongst all generations of skateboarders. Etnie and DC are popular with Generation Y, while Nike remains a reliable source of stylish and functional footwear. Converse is also a widely customizable all-purpose shoe brand.

      Visit the website of the shoe manufacturer you have chosen. Navigate to the custom shoe design page of the website, or chose a specific model of shoe to customize from the main product page. Creating high tops may impose a more limited selection of customizable options. Each manufacturer’s webpage will look different, but the process is basically the same amongst all of them.

      Design your shoes based on the available criteria to choose from. Select men’s or women’s shoes. Choose a shoe size and pick a model of shoe to customize, if you haven’t already done so.

      Customize the shoe based on the available options. You may have the option of selecting the colors of the different parts of the shoe, such as: laces, front, sides, rear, tongue, upper ankle, sidewall, sole and more.

      Submit your order and payment information. Print out your receipt and confirmation number. If a tracking number is provided you can use it to monitor the status of your order. Due to customization, the shoes may take several weeks to arrive.
