How to Train in a Foam Pit
Many extreme sports training facilities feature a specialized section known as the foam pit. According to Camp Woodward, the foam pit consists of a large hole filled with chunks of high-density foam. A launch ramp connected to the front of the foam pit allows novice skateboarders and BMXers to practice new tricks without the threat of serious injury. As opposed to falling painfully onto the concrete, riders can safely bail onto the soft sheets of foam.
