Label Kills
-
Label Kills, the first skate video that Black Label released, features a majority of riders who no longer skate for the Black Label team. Released in 2001, the line up for the video consisted of Jason Adams, Patrick Melcher, Wes Lott, Ricky Espinoza, Mike Vallely, Neal Hendrix, Jub, Omar Hassan, Pat Smith, Salman Agah, Wade Speyer, Jeff Grosso, Matt Hensley, Ben Gilley, Jim Gagne, Kristian Svitak, Adam Alfaro, and owner John Lucero. All of the riders except for Jason Adams and Adam Alfaro have left the Black Label team or have been kicked off. The soundtrack for the Label Kills video features classic rock and roll bands AC/DC and Kiss as well as the famous punk rockers The Sex Pistols. Kristian Svitak has the last part in the video.
Back in Black
-
The Back in Black skateboard video, released in 2006, featured a completely new team including Anthony Schultz, Chaz Pineda, Chet Childress, Chris Troy, Kyle Leeper, Matt Mumford, Pat Rakestraw and Peter Watkins. John Lucero, the owner of Black Label Skateboards, had replaced all of the veteran team members from the Label Kills video, with young up and coming faces. Adam Alfaro remained the only existing team rider from the 2001 video. Back in Black featured skateboarders who strayed away from conventional street riding such as North Carolina native Chet Childress and San Diego upstart Chaz Pineda. Both skaters performed the majority of their video parts on transitioned ramps.
God Save the Label
-
Black Label changed it up again with their 2009 release, God Save the Label. The line up for God Save the Label featured almost a completely different team from the 2006 video. The video consisted of a part from original team rider Adam Alfaro as well as new comers Ben Skrzypek, Chris Troy, Ethan Fitzpatrick, Peter Raffin, Peter Watkins, Shuriken Shannon, and Vince Del Valle. Kyle Leeper and Chet Childress had a part and Black Label brought back original team rider Jason Adams. Back in Black featured better image quality than the two previous videos as well as the latest camera technology.
