Instructions on Rebounder Exercise

A rebounder is a mini trampoline for one-person use. Users who loved simply jumping up and down on a trampoline as children can do a simple up-and-down jumping movement, while those who prefer more variety can perform numerous other aerobic moves. If you've just gotten a rebounder, understanding how to use it properly will ensure the best possible workout.

Instructions

Rebounders are made to store easily, so they can be folded. Unfold yours, and if you have the arm-hold attachment and prefer to use it, connect it where you see the connectors on the side of the rebounder.

Take off your shoes, and step onto your rebounder. Take small bounces to start. Your first rebounding sessions should be short--four to five minutes--according to the Energise for Life website. Stop if you feel dizzy or out of breath.

Experiment taking bigger bounces, so your body rises farther away from the trampoline. Try different movements, like stepping or jogging in place as opposed to jumping motion, and add arm movements (e.g., arm circles or arm lifts) for a more complete workout. Moving your torso from side to side as you jump will help make a stronger, slimmer waistline.

Turn on the television to take your attention away from the fact that you're exercising, or play your favorite CD and try keeping pace with the music in your movements.
