How to Calculate Speed When Jump Roping
Jumping rope is an excellent way to improve cardiovascular health, as well as speed, agility, stamina and power. Many athletes rely on jumping rope as an important part of their conditioning. The speed at which you jump rope is known as "revolutions per minute." According to the McGraw Hill Education website, you should aim for a beginning speed of 140 revolutions per minute and a speed of 180 to 200 revolutions per minute for more advanced jumpers.
