How to Use an Upright Monitor for an Exercise Bicycle

Cardio exercise is important for cardiovascular health and maintaining a natural body weight. Cardio machines, such as exercise bikes, come with monitors that function as control panels for the exerciser. You can control the duration, intensity and other specifications of your exercise bike workout. The monitor also tracks your workout information throughout your exercise session. Heart rate, calories burned, speed and distance traveled are all statistics that the monitor calculates for you. You can use all of this information to maximize your workout and reap the benefits of a productive cardio exercise session.
