Position yourself correctly while sitting in the Ab Rocket for the best results. Your feet should be extended and your head should be resting comfortably on the headrest. Do not strain your neck or head at any time.

Resist holding the handlebars for increased exercise intensity, as holding on to the bars lessens the work done by the ab muscles. Cross your arms in front of your chest instead or hold them lightly behind your head with your fingertips touching.

Exhale and tighten the abdominal muscles during each repetition while bringing yourself to a sitting position to and from the floor. This will increase the overall exertion required from the abdominal muscles.

Bring your knees to your chest when you extend yourself up on the Ab Rocket to perform a crunch that will work the lower ab muscles in a double crunch.

Perform reverse crunches by bending your knees while in the lower position on the Ab Rocket. Bend the knees and bring them toward your chest and then straighten them back out parallel to the floor.

Use the Ab Rocket every other day for the best results. Abdominal muscles require rest in order to repair and rebuild, just like any other set of muscles.
