Homemade Kettlebell Handles
Kettlebells are a useful exercise tool for leg, arm and back exercises. One problem is, though, they are expensive to buy. You can save some cash by making a kettlebell yourself at home. You'll need supplies from a hardware or big box store, plus one to four circular 10 lb. weights. In just a short time, you'll be ready to pump some iron.
Things You'll Need
- 16-inch piece of 1-inch galvanized steel pipe
- 1-inch steel female floor flange
- 1-inch galvanized steel T
- 2 4-inch galvanized steel threaded pipe
- 10 lb. weights (up to 4)
- Steel sleeve collar
- Allen wrench

Thread the floor flange onto one end of the 16-inch pipe.

Slide one to four of the 10 lb. weights onto the pipe depending on how heavy you would like your kettlebell to be.

Slide the sleeve collar onto the pipe and then onto the top of the weights.

Tighten the sleeve collar with an Allen wrench.

Thread the steel T onto the top of the pipe.

Thread the two 4-inch threaded pipe pieces into both sides of the T.
