1
Go to iTunes or other similar music selection websites and choose upbeat fast paced music that enhances your Spinning routine while slowing the pace durng the cool down. Depending upon the type of music you select, you will need 10 to 12 songs. Think of your students and choose music they would like to hear. You can have themes to Spin classes as well. Some common themes are 60's music, The Beatles, show tunes, sountry and New Wave.Music for Spinning needs to be relatively upbeat to keep the pace at a decent cardio work out. Each member of the class will naturally modify there pace to their bodies ability.

2
Divide the routine into 15 minutes intervals: warming up, peaking out and cooling down. Stretch at the end of the class.
-
3
Time each third with 15 minutes worth of music, which means 3 to 4 songs per interval. The songs most likely will overlap at the interval change. Time it as close to 15 minutes as you can.
-
4
Note that the music needs to be different because the warmup is upbeat, but the cool down is slower, although never sluggish. The cool down includes stretching the hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, hip flex, shoulders and neck.
-
5
Set up 5-minute intervals for each third. In the first third, participants sit in the saddle Spinning quickly to upbeat music. You re-familiarize the class on proper body position, breathing and the purpose of the class.
-
6
Inform the class when you are making a change in the routine. At the second interval, you can get creative because the class is warmed up and raring to go at full speed. Mix it up with 20 seconds, 30 seconds and 40 seconds, out of the saddle and back in the saddle, adding resistance. Push the class during the second interval.
-
7
Arrive at the cool-down interval, where you can acknowledge the class for their hard work. Slow the pace. Have them lower their resistance while peddling very fast. The music here should be upbeat and positive, but not as fast as the peak tunes. The last 5 minutes will be dedicated to stretching.
