How to Wrap the Balls of Your Feet With Athletic Tape
The balls of the feet are the padded areas between the base of the toes and the beginning of the arch. These small cushions absorb the full weight of the body each time you take a step. It's no surprise, then, that blisters, calluses and general pain (known as metatarsalgia) can result. Taping the balls of the feet often alleviates this pain, especially before walking or working out.

1
Wash feet and dry thoroughly.
-
2
Unroll 1 1/2-inch athletic tape to a length roughly equal to the length of the foot; cut the tape where it meets the roll.
-
3
Lay the tape, sticky-side up, horizontally on the floor. Lightly place one hand on each end of the tape to secure it.
-
4
Place the outside edge of the foot onto the tape so that the entire little toe, including base, is just above the top edge. With toes flexed, slowly roll the foot onto the tape.
-
5
Place hands under the tape, and wrap the ends up onto the top of the foot, pressing firmly.
-
6
Repeat as necessary, overlapping the strips slightly, until the entire ball of the foot is taped.
