Drink lots of fluids to keep yourself hydrated in extreme temperatures. Your body needs water to regulate its own heat and deal with outside temperatures. Hydration is most important in hot weather because you will lose more fluids from sweating. Water is not the best option for quick hydration because it does not give you the electrolytes that you lose with sweating.

Wear light clothing in extremely hot temperatures. There is a dangerous myth which teaches that wearing warm clothing in hot temperatures will help you burn more calories. This is incorrect and dangerous to the body. Wear very light clothing in extremely hot temperatures and let your body sweat out the heat instead of having to hold it all in.

Wear layered clothing in cold weather. Start out wearing heavier clothing as you begin your exercise or walk and shred clothing as your body temperature increases. Make sure that your clothing is made of materials that do not stick to the skin when you sweat because it will cause chilling. Materials like wool will not stick to your body.
