1
Clean up the diet. Eliminate foods that are deep fried, processed, refined or high in saturated fat. Some examples would be fast food, doughnuts, commercial baked goods and candy. Instead, eat foods that are nutrient dense like lean meats, low fat dairy, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and beans.

2
Drink water. Limit your intake of alcohol and high-calorie beverages, like soda and sweetened coffee drinks. Calories are still calories even in liquid form. For this reason, make water your beverage of choice. It has no calories, it keeps the body hydrated, it flushes toxins from the system and it helps metabolize fat. According the Institute of Medicine, women should consume 2.2 liters a day and men should consume 3 liters a day.

3
Do some weight training. Lifting weights can build muscle which can increase your metabolism. Perform exercises that target all of the major muscle groups such as bench presses, military presses, back rows, tricep extensions, bicep curls and lunges.

4
Go for a run. Perform cardiovascular exercise to increase your caloric expenditure. This can add to overall weight loss in the body and the face. Some examples are running, biking, stair stepping, swimming, rowing and elliptical training.

Draw your cheeks in. You can do this from a standing, seated or lying position. Close your lips and open your jaws. Now draw your cheeks in towards the center of your mouth as far as you can and hold. Make sure you do not put too much pressure on your teeth as this can cut or scrape the insides of your cheeks.

6
Blow out. This can also be done from a standing, seated or lying position. With your lips closed, take a big inhale through your nose and push air into your right cheek, then move the air to the left cheek, then to the bottom lip, then the top lip. After you have gone all the way around, take one last inhale and push the air to your whole mouth and hold.
