How to Hook Up the Wires on My Power Trim to My 150 Yamaha Outboard Motor

The trim and tilt system for the Yamaha 150 outboard motor is connected from the trim switch on the remote throttle control panel of your boat to the "Up" and "Down" relays on the top cowling of the motor -- the switches used if there is no remote throttle control. The wiring uses ring, bullet and plug-in terminals, making it a plug-and-play addition to the system that comes as standard equipment. You're still using the slave solenoid, but control has been transferred to the remote control system, through the relays.
