DIY: Ingenious Collapsible Camping Kitchen

Part of the fun of camping is experiencing nature with a minimum of the comforts found at home. That being said, the proper amenities can take a lot of the hassle out of roughing it and allow you to properly enjoy the great outdoors. For example, there are collapsible camping kitchen accessories on the market that can enable you to quickly set up an outdoor cooking station.

Instructions

      Remove the collapsible camping equipment components from their box and lay them out in the area where you intend to set them up. The amount of components will vary from kit to kit but you should at least have a stove stand and chair and some storage compartments with removable shelving.

      Pull the stove stand up vertically to set it up. Set the locking switch on the back frame of the unit when it is fully retracted. If the stand is constructed out of poles, retract the poles and use the locking mechanism on the joints to lock the poles when they are fully retracted.

      Pull the shelving compartments up to retract and set them. Use the locking latches on the frames to set the shelving compartments.

      Insert the included shelving into the sleeves in the compartments.

      Use the zippers at the ends of the sleeves to zip up the sleeves and secure the shelving.

      Unfold the included chair.

      Attach any metal racks (for pots or other cookware) to the top of the cooking stand. These racks might be inserted into holes at the top of the stand frame.

      Unfold any metal cooking trays that come included with the unit and stand them up next to the stand.
