How to Get the Front Panel off an Apache Pop-Up
Apache pop-up campers are covered by paneling on the lower half of the camper. Removing the front panel is often required to service and repair the chain on the lift system. The lift system track is located immediately inside the panel. Removing the front panel is also common during restoration projects that require access to the interior wood, lift system and frame.

1
Attach a bolt socket that fits the bolt heads or a Phillips driver to a screwdriver. Turn each of the perimeter screws counterclockwise with the driver until the screws are completely removed.
-
2
Wedge a thin putty knife between the outer panel wall and the panel track. The panel is seated in a narrow track that maintains a stable position and even alignment. Run the scraper around the bottom and outer perimeter to free the panel from glue and caulking.
-
3
Slide the panel in an upward motion to remove from the track. Set the panel aside and place the screws in a plastic bag to keep the original parts intact.
