1
Elevate your canoe on a set of sawhorses or other props so it is at a comfortable height for you to work. The canoe should be right-side-up so that you can seal the seams from the inside.
-
2
Use soap and alcohol to clean all areas that need to be sealed and dry them thoroughly.
-
3
Mix the slow-curing epoxy, following the specific instructions on the package. Stir it until texture is consistent.
-
4
Use a paintbrush or putty knife to coat the seams with epoxy from the inside of the canoe. Seal the entire seam from one end to the other, even if the leak only appears in one place. This will ensure that any other small cracks that may be starting are sealed before they begin to cause trouble.
-
5
Work the epoxy deep into each seam to ensure complete coverage. Allow the epoxy to harden completely before taking your boat back out on the water.
