Tie Braided Fishing Line to a Monofilament Line
-
1
Lay the tag ends of the braid and the monofilament parallel to each other. Leave about 12 inches of tag on each of the lines. Form a loop with the braid.
-
2
Run the tag end around both of the parallel lines six times. Pull the tag end slowly to tighten the knot. Make sure the knot tightens evenly and the coils stay in a row.
-
3
Keep pulling the tag end until the knot is fully tightened. The coils should butt up against the next coil without riding up on each other. When the knot is tight, trim the tag end flush with the knot.
-
4
Tie another uni-knot on the monofilament end of the line. Ensure that the knot is tight and then trim the tag end flush against the knot's body. Slowly pull on both of the main lines until the knots slide and butt up against each other.
