How to Make Fishing Rod Racks Out of PVC
Store your fishing rods on your own homemade PVC fishing rod rack. A fishing-rod rack made from PVC is lightweight and functions on the shore as well as on your boat. PVC pipe is a polyvinyl chloride plastic material that is often used in plumbing. This material is often used outside of plumbing because of its low cost compared with metal and because of its strength-to-weight ratio. Build your own PVC fishing rod rack in less than an hour.

1
Glue the ends of the 14-inch pipes into the three-way joints so you have a square created by the pipes. When the square lies flat, the open hole on each joint must be facing up. Let the glue dry according to the instructions listed on the package. This is the base to your PVC fishing rod rack.

2
Insert and glue an 8-inch pipe into the remaining opening on each of the three-way joints. Let the glue dry according to the instructions listed on the package.
-
3
Place the the handle portion of your fishing rods into the 8-inch pipes. This rack will hold four fishing rods.
