How to Adjust Telescoping Trek Poles
Trekking poles are a valuable tool in hiking. When adjusted to the proper height, they can function like canes and increase balance and support. They assist in traction on steep hills and slippery trails. Trekking poles also relieve weight from your legs by providing two more supports that essentially turn any hiker into a quadruped and allow you to hike farther before becoming tired. For height adjustments, the poles may fasten, screw or have a locking button.
