How to Use Lithium Batteries in a Black Diamond Spot Headlamp

The Black Diamond Spot headlight is a light worn on your head, to allow you to see in the dark, while keeping your hands free. These are most commonly used by bicyclists, hikers and climbers. The unit is powered through three AAA batteries. Although the unit is sold with alkaline batteries, alkaline, lithium or rechargeable batteries AAA batteries can be used when it's time to for replacements.

Instructions

      Push the battery cover release latch forward. The latch is located on the top of the headlamp. This unlocks the battery cover. Lower the door to expose the batteries.

      Remove the three AAA alkaline batteries that are in the battery bay.

      Insert three AAA lithium batteries. Follow the positive/negative (+/-) icon indicators positioned in the battery bay for the correct direction to place the batteries.

      Lift the battery cover upward until it locks into place.
