Para-Equestrian Canada

Para-Equestrian Canada, in conjunction with Sport Canada, provides grants to riders with disabilities so that they may participate in riding competitions. The group gives out a total of ten grants over the course of two grant periods; each grantee can receive up to $500. Therapeutic riding centers for the disabled can be given grant monies to add new competitions to their schedules or to expand pre-existing programs. Expansion can include adding classes and offering contests at the riding facility.

These grants are given annually and only for specific projects that meet certain criteria. The board can take up to four months to approve grants after the deadline. Grants are paid out once the project begins, and the monies must be used during the granting year.
