Large animals may require being hoisted up in a tree with a rope to make cleaning easier. Make sure you know how to field dress the animal you are hunting to prevent ruining the meat.

It is important to know where you are hunting and what species are in that area. Knowing the area will give a hunter a better opportunity of seeing and harvesting an animal. Knowing the area will also allow hunters to remove the deceased game quickly and effectively, keeping the meat fresh. Being familiar with a location is also important for safety reasons.
