Is There a Way to Get a Lighter Pull on Horton Crossbow Trigers?

Horton Archery produces a range of crossbows for hunting and recreational shooting. Horton designs its products to be adjustable for a custom fit and performance. Among the adjustments are the trigger mechanism. Adjust the trigger for tight to loose fits on the trigger itself. Tight trigger adjustments make misfires less likely while a loose adjustment allows faster release with little shake on the weapon.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the bow string into the neutral position. Place the safety on.

    • 2

Insert the hex wrench into the hew screw under the stock near the front of the trigger guard. The size of the hex wrench is model dependent, but Horton includes the necessary hex wrench with each crossbow.

    • 3

Turn clockwise 1/4 turn to tighten or 1/4 turn counterclockwise to loosen.

    • 4

Load and cock the crossbow. Take aim and release the safety to off. Fire a practice shot and make further adjustments until happy with the trigger setting.
