Take the rifle to a shooting range or some location with at least 50 yards of open distance for shooting. Post a paper target with a bull's-eye suitable for small-caliber rifle practice.
-
2
Aim carefully and fire a group of three shots at the bull's-eye. Examine the points of impact on the target.
-
3
Move the point of impact up or down by turning the elevation knob on top of the rear sight. Turn the elevation knob clockwise to lower the point of impact. Turn the elevation knob counterclockwise to raise the point of impact.
-
4
Move the point of impact left or right by turning the windage knob on the side of the rear sight. Turn the windage knob clockwise to move the point of impact to the left, and turn the knob counterclockwise to move the point of impact to the right.
-
5
Aim carefully and fire another group of three shots at the bull's-eye. Evaluate the results. If necessary, repeat the adjustment process until the points of impact are closely grouped on the bull's-eye.
