Fladen Kayak Rod Holder Installation

Kayaks are very small vessels that don't have a lot of room for accessories. Despite the small size, it is still possible to mount a fishing rod holder -- such as a Fladen rod holder -- on a kayak. The space might be limited on the kayak, but a fishing rod holder allows the kayaker to get in a bit of fishing if the mood strikes.

    • 3

Cut the shape of the ring out of the boat. Use a skill saw

    • 4

Apply hobby glue around the ring.

    • 5

Insert the holder in the hole; place the included mounting bracket over the holder. Wait for the glue to dry, and secure the mounting bracket to the holder.

    • 6

Drill through the screw-hole openings in the mount.

    • 7

Secure the mount to the kayak with screws.
