About Adventure Island

Adventure Island's 30-acres of water park activities keep adults and children of all ages cool and entertained. The park, located in Tampa, Florida, has water rides, volleyball games, dining options and reserved cabanas or huts where guests can gather and relax.

  1. Time Frame

    • Adventure Island is open on select days in mid-March and is open daily from April through August. From mid-September through October, the park is open only on weekends. It is closed from November through February.

    Features

    • Rides include corkscrew slides, water flumes, water coasters, wave pools, waterfalls and leisurely tube rafting. For safety reasons, guests must meet height requirements to participate. Adventure Island Park has a water-filled activity area for children who do not meet height requirements.

    Considerations

    • Rentals for cabanas or Chiki Huts provide guests a reserved space with four lounge chairs and a secure locker. Cabanas also include a mini-refrigerator, assorted beverages and souvenir towels.

    Benefits

    • Two-year seasonal passes include admission and parking to Adventure Island's local sister parks, Busch Gardens Tampa, SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Water Park. During the peak spring and summer season, the park has extended hours with closing times as late as 9:30 p.m. on select dates.

    Fun Fact

    • The main entrance to Busch Gardens Tampa is less than a one-minute drive from Adventure Island.
