Instructions

1
Locate two wall studs or ceiling joists. Find and mark the first stud or ceiling joist, skip the next one, then mark the following one. The idea is to have the kayak suspended just in front of and just behind the cockpit.
-
2
Drill pilot holes for the eye bolts where you marked the wall studs or ceiling joists.
-
3
Screw in the eyebolts until they are flush with the wall or ceiling.
-
4
Tie one end of a larger rope to an eyebolt. Tie the other rope to the remaining eyebolt.
-
5
Tie each of the smaller ropes to make two loops.
-
6
Use a Prusik hitch (a type of know) to attach the loops to the larger ropes, one loop per rope. Tie them at the same height.
-
7
Adjust the height of the loops by loosening the Prusik hitch and sliding it up or down the rope.
-
8
To use the mounting system, slip the loops over the ends of the kayak so that they are just in front of and just behind the cockpit.
