TAPCO Instructions

TAPCO's Interfuse system provides aftermarket stock upgrades and enhancements for a variety of firearms. The Interfuse system replaces original fixed, wooden buttstocks and forearms with military grade composites and adds a pistol grip for expanded shooting stance options. The buttstock is adjustable in six positions and a Picatinny accessory rail is mounted on the top barrel cover. The TAPCO Interfuse system for the Ruger .22-caliber 10/22 rifle can be installed with simple tools.

    • 3

Hold the barrel down and lift the butt of the stock to separate the stock from the barrel-receiver assembly.

    • 4

Remove the screw on each side of the stock that secures the metal stock reinforcing frame inside the stock. Squeeze the sides of the stock reinforcing frame together and swivel it up and out of the stock.

    • 6

Slide the metal forearm liner into the TAPCO replacement forearm.

    • 7

Squeeze the sides of the metal reinforcing frame and install it into the TAPCO stock from the bottom. Use two supplied screws and lockwashers to secure the reinforcing frame in the stock.

    • 8

Place the barrel/receiver assembly in the TAPCO stock body by inserting the front of the barrel into stock first, then lowering the remainder of the receiver into the stock.

    • 9

Install the trigger assembly in the stock. Close the trigger guard and push it down to lock it.

    • 10

Place the TAPCO top cover into the gas block and push it down to seat it in the stock. Secure the left side of the top cover with the supplied short screw and lock washer. Insert the supplied metal bushing on the right side between the stock body and the metal tab. Secure the right side with the supplied longer screw and lock washer.

    • 11

Slide the adjustable stock into the stock body. Secure it with the two screws and nuts.

    • 12

Coat the threads of the 2.25-inch hex head screw lightly with lubricant. Mount the TAPCO pistol grip to the stock body with the hex head screw. Tighten with a 3/8-inch socket.

    • 13

Change the stock extension tube if desired by pulling up on the release lever and removing the butt from the stock tube. Remove the two bolts securing the stock tube. Install the alternate stock tube and tighten the bolts. Lift the release lever to slide the butt on the end of the tube and lock in place.
