Ruger 10/22 Assembly Instructions

Part of the thorough cleaning of any firearm is a periodic disassembly and cleaning of each of the main components. A disassembled Ruger 10/22 rifle consists of the stock, barrel and receiver, barrel band and magazine. Assembling the components into a functioning rifle takes only a few minutes and requires just one tool.

      Center the safety button between the safe and fire positions. Lower the barrel/receiver assembly into the stock receiver end first. Once the trigger assembly is through the hole in the stock, lay the barrel end down into its channel.

      Tighten the take down screw on the underside of the stock by turning it clockwise with the flathead screwdriver.

      Fit the barrel band into position over the barrel and stock. Tighten the barrel band screw by turning it clockwise with the flathead screwdriver.

      Slide the magazine into the magazine slot on the bottom of the receiver and push it upward until it clicks into place.
