How to Crank a Sea-Doo
The feeling of water spraying across your face while you carve out a 360-degree circle on the open ocean makes the hassle of getting your Sea-Doo running well worth it. Like any other engine, if you leave a Sea-Doo sitting long enough, such as over the winter offseason, it can take some extra cranking to get started. It's easy to get frustrated if the engine does not start immediately, but certain precautions need to be taken when cranking your Sea-Doo so as to not burn out the engine.

1
Position the throttle and shift lever to the "Idle/neutral" position. Turn the fuel valve to the "On" position.
-
2
Grip the handlebar with your left hand. Step onto the Sea-Doo, placing both feet on the footboard.
-
3
Pull the choke lever fully with your right hand while pressing the "Start/stop" button. Do not depress the "Start/stop" button for more than 30 seconds at a time. Wait some time between crankings to let the starter mechanism cool down and disengage.
