1
Look at the arrow shaft to determine if it already has a precut notch for the arrowhead. If it does, proceed to the next step. If it doesn't, you will have to cut one. Hold the arrowhead against the shaft. The widest section of the arrowhead should be flush with the tip of the shaft and the thin neck of the arrowhead parallel with the shaft. Make a mark on the shaft at the bottom of the arrowhead to indicate how far down you need to cut. Use a handsaw to cut down the middle of your shaft to that point. Make the cut as straight as possible.

2
Clean inside and around the shaft cut with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip. Allow it to dry thoroughly. Clean the shank of your arrow the same way.
-
3
Apply glue to the arrow shank. Use a type of glue that is specifically meant for the arrowhead material. Duco cement and Bohning Fletch-Tite are two good choices for gluing metal arrowheads.
-
4
Hold the tip of the arrow with pliers. With medium pressure, push the shank into the arrow shaft. Make sure the arrow is placed in the shaft very straight, otherwise your arrow will not fly straight.
-
5
Allow the glue to set before handling the arrow.
