How to Tie a Knot With a String Attached to a Pole & Vehicle

A clove hitch is used for a line in need of a knot when the line is attached to two different fixed objects such as a vehicle and a pole. The hitch gets employed to attach objects to the line between the two fixed points.

Instructions

      Back the vehicle up to provide slack in the line.

      Pull a section of slack between the vehicle and pole line. Form one loop on the line from the slack.

      Twist a second loop to the opposite side of the slack.

      Cross the two loops over each other to make a pretzel shape.

      Place the object in need of attachment within the vehicle and pole onto the two loops and pull out to secure the clove hitch knot.
