How to Clean MX Goggles

The MX Motocross goggles are made by Spy Optics. The MX goggles use shatterproof plastic lenses tinted for sun protection. A stretchy nylon cord connects the goggles to the helmet for the motor sport. Because of the nature of motocross, the goggles accumulate dirt and dust during use, which must be cleaned from the goggles to maintain their long life. Care must be taken not to scratch the lenses when cleaning off the MX goggles.

  • Sponge and warm soapy water
  • Antifog sport lens cleaner
  • Chamois cloth

Instructions

      Wipe away any excess dust or grime from the lenses with a chamois cloth. Wet a sponge with warm soapy water and brush off the nylon strap to clean off excess grime or dirt.

      Pour some of the antifog lens cleaner onto a different chamois cloth and begin to wipe down the lenses. Wipe in a circular motion to work the cleaner onto the lenses.

      Wipe down both sides of the lenses and wipe away any excess cleaner and dirt. Let the lenses dry, along with the nylon strap.
