How to Remove a Surly Hub Bearing
In order to prevent further damage to a wheel hub assembly, it's important to remove a Surly hub bearing when the bearing becomes damaged or worn out. The bearings on the wheel hub allow the wheel to turn smoothly on the axle while the bicycle is moving. Dirt or debris can get into the bearing, drying up the lubricant and causing the bearing to break apart. You can remove the Surly hub bearing with just a few tools in less than 30 minutes.
