How to Jump a Curb With a Bike
When biking around a city, getting off and onto sidewalks is a necessary evil. To get where you're going as quickly and efficiently as possible, it's best to stay on your bike as much as you can. Any time you have to get off your bike and carry it somewhere, you're losing time. Learn to jump a curb with your bike so you can don't have to get off the bike every time you run into one.

Pedal directly toward the curb. If you go in at a slight angle, your back tire can slip on the curb and send you sprawling.

Pull up on your handlebars just before you reach the curb, lifting the front wheel of your bike off the ground. If you have front shocks on your bike, it may be easier to press down and then pull up.

Keep pedaling until your back wheel clears the curb and you're on the higher part of the road or sidewalk.
