How to Scrub a Jump
Instructions

1
Adjust the air in your tires until you can slide more freely, but still have good traction. You don't want to slide around too much, and you want good control. But in order to scrub, you need to be able to slide a bit. Try different air pressures, until you find one that is comfortable for you.

2
Approach the jump at the opposite angle than you want to swing your bike. So, if you want to scrub to the left, angle the bike to the right when you hit the jump, or vice versa. You will be using the momentum to swing the bike in the desired direction.
-
3
Turn your front wheel in the opposite direction, when you are about to leave the edge of the jump. As you begin to fly through the air, your whole bike will swing in the same direction you turned your front wheel.
-
4
Hold tight onto the bike with your knees and lower body, pressing into the opposite side, to which you want to scrub.
-
5
Twist your wheel back again. Your bike will begin to straighten itself.
-
6
Land straight. This is easier said than done. It will take a lot of practice to get this maneuver down, so that you can scrub your bike without crashing.
