1
Confirm that the toe cages you have are compatible with the pedals (and your feet). If the holes in the base of the toe clip match up to the holes on the front edge of the pedal, they are compatible. Cages usually come in small, medium and large to accommodate any shoe size. Your local bike shop should be able to help you pick the right one.

2
Remove the reflector on the front edge of the pedal and the reflector, if there is one, on the toe cage.
-
3
Rotate your pedal so it is level with the ground.
-
4
Thread the screws that came with your cage through the cage and into your pedal. Some pedals require a nut and bolt assembly while others allow you to screw directly into the pedal itself.
-
5
Pull on the toe cage to make sure it is fixed firmly to your pedal. It can cause problems while riding if your cage works loose from your pedal.
-
6
Thread your toe strap through the center of the pedal and the toe cage and connect the open end to the clip end on the outside of the pedal.
-
7
Repeat the process for the other pedal, then replace the reflectors.
