1
Look at a Rollerblade sizing chart to find out what size you should try on first. Depending on the design, the size of Rollerblades may run large or small. Refer to the sizing chart to determine the corresponding Rollerblade length for your shoe size and then either adjust downward or upward according to the length given.

2
Try on a variety of Rollerblade designs. Make sure you wear the same socks you will wear when you skate, to ensure a proper fit. Make sure your foot is seated completely into the skate before tightening the laces and buckles.
-
3
Stand up and bend your knees to sink your feet completely into the Rollerblades. Move your heel and your toes around in the skate. You want a good, snug fit, but not a really tight fit. Your toes should be close to the end of the skates without feeling cramped. Your heel should not move but also should not feel pressured. If you can move your heel, or slide your foot, the Rollerblades are too large. If you have more than a 1/4-inch gap between your toes and the end of the skates, they are too big.

4
Move around in the Rollerblades for about 15 minutes to make sure the skates do not hurt your feet or ankles. Be certain you feel comfortable in the skates before purchasing a particular size.
