1
Put the mask on and adjust the straps for a good fit. The mask should be firmly in place, but comfortable. If you think the mask will leave an impression on your face, it is too tight. Smooth out the strap so it is straight and not twisted up or entangled in your hair.

2
Put the snorkel's mouthpiece in your mouth and hold the snorkel up so the tube runs alongside your temple. Use your sense of touch to guide you as you slide the clip up or down the tube and into a position where it is over the strap. If you are a scuba diver, the tube must be on the left side of your head. Snorkelers may use the left or right side.
-
3
Remove the mask, keeping a finger on the area where you intend to clip on the snorkel. Take care that the clip on the snorkel tube does not move. Carefully clip the snorkel onto the strap in the noted part of the strap.

4
Put the mask on and put the snorkel's mouthpiece in your mouth to check the fit and see if the clip will hold in place. If it does not pop off and the fit is good, the snorkel is properly attached.
