How to Make Longboard Wheels Look Brand New
The longboard is a large skateboard designed for stability. The board is used to travel at fast speeds and does not provide a platform for jumping style tricks like the standard skateboard deck. Longboard wheels are subject to visible wear on the wheels' surface. Making the wheels look new again is possible with basic cleaning and riding on a rough but clean surface. The wear from riding the surface removes dirt and expose a new layer of the wheels' surface. Cleaning the wheels does not improve the performance of the board but it does add aesthetic value.

1
Ride the board on a paved surface with a rough face. Rough-finish concrete and an asphalt surface like those found on playgrounds and basketball courts are ideal. Riding the board on the surface removes dirt and debris from the wheels.
-
2
Spray the exterior surface of the wheel with standard household glass cleaner. Apply the cleaner in a liberal portion to cover the entire surface area.
-
3
Rub the wheel with a kitchen scrub pad to polish any difficult streaks. Wipe the wheel clean with a paper towel or cloth rag.
-
4
Add a second application of glass cleaner and repeat the wiping process. Continue cleaning with the rag and scrub pad until the wheel is clean and no more dirt is visible.
