How to Flick the Skateboard Doing a Kickflip
Instructions

1
Get a good position on your skateboard so you feel comfortable. Your foot should be near the back so you can pop the nose up, and the front foot should be right behind the bolts or the wheels.
-
2
Do the flip in a similar fashion to an Ollie. Instead of sliding your front foot forward after you pop the skateboard, slide your foot forward and to the side. It'll look kind of like you're making a diagonal line with your front foot. Just before your front foot goes off the board as you are flicking the skateboard, your foot will be just over or just beyond the bolts.
-
3
Stop the rotation of the board after you flick it by placing your front foot and back foot on the skateboard again. Make sure you do this before you land. Your feet should be over the bolts which are the strongest points of the skateboard.
-
4
Practice this move again and again until you get comfortable with it. Ending the trick in the proper way as you flick the skateboard is crucial. Make sure you land not only on the top of the skateboard but also on the bolts. Failure to do so could mean injury for you and damage for the skateboard.

5
Add rolling to flicking the skateboard while doing a kickflip. You may find the trick easier to do with some forward momentum. It will also help you with the timing, so that you continue rolling after you land.
