1
Ride at an angle down a hill (see "How to Choose a Hill to Ride on a Freebord," under Related eHows).
-
2
Remember that when riding your Freebord, your weight must be on one side or the other of your board, not over the center.
-
3
Keep your weight on your uphill edge.
-
4
Start carving into a turn by leaning downhill.
-
5
Switch your weight briefly to your downhill edge as you begin your turn. As you continue with the turn, this edge will become your uphill edge.
-
6
Keep your weight over the front of your board.
-
7
Push gently with your back foot to help your tail slide around as you carve into the turn. Be careful not to push too much, or you'll go into a slide.
-
8
Ride in the opposite direction, still downhill, keeping your weight on the new uphill edge of your board.
-
9
Practice on a gentle hill by carving quickly from one edge to the other.
-
10
Wear full skateboarding pads and a helmet when riding your Freebord.
